45 YEARS OF HURT - WE HAVE TO CHANGE

Brazilian Soccer Schools continue to work hard to change football in this country!

We expect all our players to be good people, possessing incredible technical ability. We expect all our players to be comfortable on the ball and be two-footed. We expect our players to play the beautiful game!

The frustrations of watching our national team are a result of the failing academy system. The best talent in the country goes into the system – nothing comes out the other end! We believe football is only going to be changed from the outside. We are trying to do this and look forward to watching English players in the future with traditional English strengths combined with exceptional technical ability.

The definition of madness is coaching the same way and expecting different results. It is 45 years of hurt now and the next decade will offer nothing but more frustration.  Get behind our coaching programme!

 Brazilian Soccer Schools Tameside
It is our aim to help each child fulfil their potential, whether playing in the playground with friends or going on to play in a World Cup Final.

Brazilian Soccer Schools (BSS) and Socatots Tameside Greater Manchester exist to give children the best start in football. Our training ethos very much mirrors that of Brazil in that young players are encouraged to spend as much time as possible with the ball developing their skills. We strive to achieve technical competence before moving onto the physical, tactical and mental aspects of the game.

In 1996 Juninho mentioned to Simon Clifford (founder of Brazilian Soccer Schools) that he believes a child first had to become a good person before they could look at becoming a good player. This is something BSS Tameside firmly believe in.

Regardless of whether the children go on to play the game at a higher or elite level, we want before any football considerations to have played some role in helping them to become good young people.

We do not select children on ability as we are confident of producing excellent footballers regardless of past experience. All we ask is that your child shows a excellent attitude to their training sessions.

Our coaching sessions give the highest standard of coaching with small class groups so that every child gets the best out of the session. We concentrate on quality not quantity and believe in Nurture not Nature to help every child to play at their highest level.  With our coaching expertise and small session groups, your child gets the best value coaching and you will see the results in a very short time period, whatever your child's standard of play.

Brazilian Soccer Schools coaching is great for all players

says former England International Danny Mills..

Former Premiership and England player Danny Mills has been bringing his sons along  to Brazilian Soccer Schools in Harrogate Yorkshire for several years. “At first I was a little sceptical until I took my son along to a session".

I was so impressed that my eldest son now trains 4 times a week, 2 technical and 2 conditioning sessions, and the youngest twice a week. I think the skills they learn combined with matches really helps them develop.
Brazilian Soccer Schools coaching is great for all players, helping to develop skills and ball control. Many under 10's have more tricks and skills than I ever had. I believe it is one of many fantastic aspects of coaching and would recommend it to everyone. The training at Brazilian Soccer Schools is perfect for the children to develop into fantastic footballers and become good people. I especially like the way the older players are encouraged to help, support and teach the younger ones.”

On the subject of professional academies,

 Danny added:
“The subject of professional academies is a contentious one. We must remember that football is about enjoyment and having fun, and should not be taken too seriously. I would not encourage anyone to join a professional academy to the exclusion of playing with clubs, schools and friends though, until they reach their teenage years."
"In my opinion, if any players are invited before then, by all means let them go, see it as an enjoyable experience for them, and an addition to what they do already. However it is vital to remember that it will most likely be only for a short term period. These clubs want to see as many players as possible. Remember even the top premiership squads only set the target of ONE player from their U18 Academy Squad to go on to play first team football.

All BSS Coaches have a minimum of 80 hours a year in house CPD training which is centred around teaching age approriate sessions, techniques and using language and demonstration understood by children. We are the only Soccer coaching company in Tameside to asses our staff against Ofsted Criteria.
We hold qualifications in working with children as well as Coaching football (Some of our coaches are also Uefa "B" qualified, but this alone is not enough for coaching children)..Many academies and some local soccer schools advertise that they use UEFA "B" licenced coaches. This is great if you are coaching adults as the UEFA "B" is an adult 11 a side coaching qualification.. If you are coaching children, they are NOT mini adults.... Would a doctor who is qualified in operating on adults work with children??
Brazilian Soccer Schools started in 1996 and in the last 15 years have started to change the way football should be coached. If we leave it to the Establishment we will continue to fail in producing players that are technically good enough from grassroots to the highest level.

Brazilian Soccer Schools Tameside coach children from 4 (school reception) upto 18 years of age. All children will train in sessions for their ability level. It is compulsory for the children to wear the official BSS kit at all training sessions. This is included in your membership.

Socatots Tameside is for children from 6 months to 5 years(pre school). It is the world’s first Soccer play programme for pre-school children. It is a unique fun based concept aimed at giving children their very first start with the ball.
