BENEFITS OF THE BRAZILIAN SOCCER SCHOOLS METHOD
Brazilian Soccer Schools Skills (BSS) programmes are aimed at children between the ages of 4-16. The emphasis on the coaching programmes is the development of self-confidence with a football. As well as aiming to achieve mastery of a football, the program helps improve the fundamentals of movement, co-ordination, balance and flexibility.
Our core philosophy is to encourage participation by making our sessions fun and motivating with a trophy given out in each session.
During the sessions our aim is to enable children to achieve harmony with the ball using Samba Music to accompany the practices, in a typical session a child will expect over 1000 touches with the ball. This style of teaching emanates from its Brazilian roots as each drill demands a development of rhythm. The programme has now evolved into the most complete development programme of any sport anywhere in the world. The BSS syllabus covers every area of football and whilst our coaching is by no means exclusively Brazilian for developing quick feet, close dribbling and passing skills we have found nothing better than Futebol de Salão. Futebol de Salão is a 5-a-side version of football of South American origin that is played with a smaller size 2, heavier ball that has virtually no bounce.
We run regular sessions every week during the term time and we encourage players to attend at least two sessions a week to gain the maximum benefit from the programme. Sessions for younger children (4-6 years) are one hour long and the coaching is aimed at developing basic skills and elements of our core programme including dribbling and passing skills. For older children (7+ years) more advanced skills are developed and Futebol de Salão is used to develop match play skills in a fast game environment. Click here for more information
